Work with us?
There are several ways you can work with us and many different privileges for each one.
Website
You can help run and maintain the web content on our main site, maybe you follow certain bands and we don’t cover enough about them? or maybe you fancy simply helping keeping everything rolling along with lots of news for everybody! Well all you have to do is visit the contact us page and select on the drop down menu provided ‘Can i work with you?’ and then enter where it is you would like to help and the details you think are needed to know about you, why you think you should!
Working through our website you will be expected to keep a high level of activity on your selected areas of choice, so please state in your application the following details:
I want to work with you because: (give a reason)
Bands i like to know about/ would like to keep updated: (max 2 to start with)
Times i am usually online: (often/not often any specific details needed to know/ work commitments)
anything else you think we should know add in at the end, anything else we want to know we will ask you in our response.
Forums
Want to help with the forums work eh? well here you can help by simply being a member! keeping activity levels up is a great deal of help fresh and new information is a great help and new faces are always welcomed! but if you want to help that little bit extra you can always take on a band forum or two. Simply PM (private message) Manager Mayu, or Syryn, or wither Co-managers, with a request to become a moderator on the band’s forum you’d like to take over.
If you have a look some are already taken by members, this will not mean you are a moderator of the entire forum, you will simply be moderator of the bands you choose.
We will need 20 posts minimum to be considered the following information in your PM to us:
I am interested in becoming a moderator of the following band forums: (you must only pick 2 max)
I am online: often/not often
I would like to moderate these bands because: (give a reason)
Helping At shows
Helping at shows can vary in needs depending on bands and the work we do for them and with them. Most of the time the help required is to hand our flyers out to fans in queue. if this interests you, meeting new people and helping us at the shows let us know by mailing in to webmaster@ongakushock.co.uk or PM’ing a manger on the forum.
You can also help out at shows in other ways. We currently have two Photographers signed to working with us, and one Reporter. We are still looking for more country-wide! If you are London/Midland/North/anywhere! in the UK, professional or amateur and want to be considered for press passes to certain shows you will have to provide the following information to us and we will get talking back to you: (all questions apply to both photographers and reporters)
Photographer/Reporter Alias: (any other name you go by?)
Professional or amateur: (are you professional/commission based or willing to work for free and for the fun!)
Have you done Live shows before?: ( yes or no)
If the above is yes, which shows?: (please show the images/writing work or link to it)
Can you pay for your own travel to shows?: (yes or no give details for both)
Photography Portfolio/gallery Link: (link all of your private and personal work)
Writers Previous work can be attached or linked to
If you are successful or not in your application we will tell you wither way, successful applicants will be told the Rules they have to abide by during shows, and if you are found disobeying those rules you will be removed from our staff.
Both writers and Photographers must know that once their work is passed to us to place up it becomes both theirs and ours under copyright law.
Photographers will be asked to filter through their pictures, and only a certain amount will be selected for public viewing by the band and ourselves. Those not chosen are to be deleted and discarded and not, by any means are they to be released publicly or for your personal work.
