Hello everybody.

OngakuSHOCK has some exciting news that we wish to share with everyone. But first, we’re going to wait for a moment. I want to bring something to everyone’s attention.

It’s about you. Yes, you. Our loveable, kind, sweet members. Some of you have been with OngakuSHOCK since the start, some of you have been with us since before OngakuSHOCK launched and some of you have recently joined us but either way, YOU have continued to support us on our forums, on outside sites and in person at gigs and for that, we can’t say thank you enough.

So, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I am pleased to announce OngakuSHOCK’s MONTHLY CONTRIBUTION AWARDS!

At the end of each month, we’re going to be rewarding one member with prizes/gifts as a thank you for their support and hard work towards OngakuSHOCK. We’re mostly going to be looking your dedication towards the forums mostly since we’re in a quiet period at the moment regarding gigs, but hopefully this will change once we’re enlighten with new tour date line ups.

Who is this open to?
Everyone except Management. It doesn’t matter if your a new member, been here since the start or you’re an on and off poster. Obviously, your chances are better if you’re a regular contributor to the forums.

What about Moderators?
Moderators and members will be judged separately. The chances are the same and just because they’re a part of the team, doesn’t mean they’re going to “instantly win praise.”These awards are to thank members who are helping OngakuSHOCK. There will be no favouritism played. How can we ensure this? We’ve decided to allow one person to judge and pick the monthly member. We can’t announce who, but just know she’s hot. And is a Samurai Pirate. Who’s Undead. And dual wields guns.

What are you looking at?
Quality over quantity in posts.
Respectable/behaviour towards other members.
Promoting OngakuSHOCK to other sites; Bringing in new members.
Helping keep the active levels on the forums high.

These are just a few trades Management will be looking at. There’s more.. But if we told you, well, we’d be telling you how to act. Each Manager will pick a member and forward their choice to our Samurai Pirate who will decide who deserves it the most.

Another way we’re going to keep this fair is if you didn’t win month #1, everything you did in the previous month will be transferred over to month #2. It does however mean that you have a better chance of being awarded for month #2. There isn’t a point system, infact, there is no system at all. In short, everything you do on OngakuSHOCK is noted and will not get overlooked. What will the prizes be?
A list of options will be discussed with the winner. Gift vouchers, CDs, DVDs, etc.

When will it begin?
At the moment, since we’re a week and a bit into October, the awards may start in November. If we decide to award October, then the prize amount/cost will be half of what it would be for any other month.

Why are we doing this?
We appreciate the time and effort from our members.. Sorry, from you and felt like we should give that time and effort back, as a way to say thank you for sticking with us and continuing to support us.
